August Hochman

Founder and Executive Director

August works with philanthropists individually to develop their philanthropic strategy.

Additionally, August directs the strategy, partnerships, outreach, and engagement at Ark Philanthropy. In addition to this role, August is a Co-founder and Director at the Centre for Aquaculture Progress, a forward-thinking non-profit dedicated to improving European aquaculture for consumers, farmers, and fish. In previous roles, August served as the president of a grassroots sexual violence prevention and survivor advocacy organization. August has worked as a survivor advocate and as a transformative mediator. She has also worked on legislative change for various social justice issues. August graduated from Kenyon College magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts (colonial history). In August’s free time, she likes to work.
